When you use Musicska, you may upload sheet music files (such as PDF or MusicXML files). These files are processed and stored on our servers to provide you with viewing, playback, and organization features.

1.3 Usage Data

We may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, in order to maintain the Service and improve user experience.

• Process uploaded PDF files into readable music notation

3. Third-Party Services and Libraries

Musicska uses the following open-source libraries to provide its functionality:

• Audiveris — An open-source Optical Music Recognition (OMR) engine used to convert uploaded PDF sheet music into digital music notation. This processing occurs on our own servers; your files are not sent to any third-party service.
• OpenSheetMusicDisplay (OSMD) — An open-source JavaScript library used to render and display music notation in your browser. OSMD runs entirely in your browser and does not transmit your data to external servers.

We also use Google Sign-In for authentication. Your interaction with Google is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account information and uploaded files are stored on our own dedicated servers (VPS). We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
